Description

HIIS is an open world sandbox experimentation game, full of mystical vegetation, concealed secrets, and powerful potions. Domesticate the wild plants to farm them, brew elixirs from their products, and experiment to document their effects.

You play as a sage, living on an isolated island, full of secrets, mystical vegetation, and magic. Customize your home and your garden, farm the plants you find in the wilderness, and brew powerful potions from their products. Write down all your discoveries in your handbook and help other people with your brews.

In HIIS the player has a lot of freedom and can mix and match any potions without any limits. This gives the player an opportunity to make their character extremely powerful with custom potions.

The world is split into 3 major sections, lush green lands, dry deserts, and cold snow lands. All sections have smaller biomes inside them, like forests, flower fields, dunes, canyons, lakes, and mountains.

Some plants in the world have defensive mechanisms, therefore gathering the plants isn't always easy. The player needs to figure out how to disable or become immune to them. After harvesting plants, the player can farm them and make potions from their fruits. 

The player has to figure out the potion effects by himself. After that, he can write down his discoveries in a handbook and use that knowledge to aid their future expeditions.

Every once in a while the player receives messages from people in need. The only way to communicate with the outside world is via bottled letters that arrive by water streams. The Player has to figure out what potion would best solve these problems.

The player can customize their home with various props and furniture either bought from traveling merchants or found in the world through exploration. There are also various magical gadgets to help the player throughout his journey.

History

Bottled Fantasy Games is a small team of 5 members, all of whom are high school students from a small country, Estonia. Although some of them have previously worked on developing and modding games, HIIS is their first attempt, as a team, at something that isn't just a fun project. Development on HIIS started in September 2020 and has been in active development since.
